The company began in 1984 owned by Michael Fristick as a sole proprietor. It started with one carpet cleaning truck and no employees. By 1987 the company had grown to three carpet cleaning trucks and many full time employees. In 1997 Steam Klean Karpet Kleaners opened a flooring store located in McMurray, PA. It was called Steam Klean Flooring. It was named after the carpet cleaning company. In 2003 the flooring business closed and son Michael Fristick joined the company. Currently Fristick's Steam Klean remains a family owned and operated business.
